The Friendship Square of Seger park in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, part of the China-aided Addis Ababa Riverside Green Development Project, otherwise know as the Beautifying Sheger Project, is China's first overseas park construction project.

The first phase of the project covers an area of 32 hectares and was constructed by CCCC First Highway Engineering Group Co.,Ltd. The construction started on October 1, 2019 and was officially unveiled to the public on September 10, 2020 when Ethiopia held its new year celebrations, and it becoming a new landmark in the Ethiopian capital.

In this project, our outdoor anti-corrosive bamboo was used in the square flooring, gallery , tables and chairs. The green and sustainable characteristics of bamboo convey the concept of symbiosis with nature and environmental protection. 

The project also won the ENR Global Best Projects Awards in the global environment category and the 2020 "international engineering GSCM leading project".
