Fuzhou strait culture and art center is designed by pekka saminen, a finnish design master.This project uses a lot of BAMBOOHOOD's bamboo for interior decoration, which is classic case of bamboo applied to large cultural venues.Pekka saminen is one of the world's greatest designers who are good at using bamboo for decoration. He believes that using bamboo is a natural choice, that bamboo has an aesthetic and ecological advantage that no other material can match, and that bamboo is a true traditional chinese material. Fuzhou strait cultural arts center a total construction area of 150000 square meters, the complex shape is like a white jasmine, five petals venues each is a function room, containing multifunction theater hall, opera house, concert hall, museum of art, film and television center and a series of cultural facilities, is one of the new cultural landmark of fuzhou, it just like a shining cultural pearl, embedded in fuzhou district sanjiang area.Inside, bamboo plays a vital role in bringing warmth and texture to the modern architectural space. Its natural grain softens the large interior volumes, creating a serene, human-centered atmosphere that balances the building’s grand scale with a sense of intimacy and cultural depth.
